Does your story bulge in the wrong places, lie flaccid when it should exude strength? Build vibrant stories, articles and books by learning the jobs of every beginning, middle and end; which point of view will work best; how to set the scene and create the action, and turning points that will keep readers interested.

HOMEWORK: There will be an exercise each week.

Week 1 - Point of View and Voice. Establishing the tone of your work and the attitude your readers will adopt about your subject/audience/events.

Week 2 - Establishing the Scene. Write openings that grab reader interest by giving them the right information and images.

Week 3 - Action and Turning Points. Plot stories and articles that keep readers breathless and believing every word. How to structure the events so that your beginning, middle and ending are satisfying.

Week 4 - Using Description, Scenes and Dialogue. Readers have to experience and understand characters to identify with them. Give them the descriptions, scenes and dialogue they'll need to do this.
