COURSE DESCRIPTION:

When you read a book, you always have an opinion about it, don’t you? Well, why not turn that opinion into cash by writing book reviews? How do you get books to review and where are the best places to peddle your freelance reviews after you’ve written them? As part of the unique KISS series (Keep It Short, Sweetie!), this one-session seminar will whet your reading—and writing—appetite and answer some basic questions about the world of book reviewing.

KISS (Keep It Short, Sweetie) is a series of independent, one-week writing seminars on various short writing genres that are rarely explored. Each seminar gives the student targeted background into the writing area and uses a unique combination of assignments for the student to complete. Each writing genre in the KISS series is short and “do-able”—designed to fit in and around your daily routine.

I really enjoyed reading your introduction on how you started as a book reviewer. It was extremely interesting and helpful. From your introduction, I learned vital tips ... [and]I loved the section on essential qualities for a book reviewer. I think they're good tips that every professional should keep in mind.- Erika
